i long for the time of peace
alone in my bed with memories.
now i slide gently into sleep
your smile, in my mind, i keep.
i breathe slower, deeper floating along
all is well, nothing can go wrong.
i am held tight by the thought of you
with kisses as gentle as the morning dew.
come to me as fast as you can
i am and will be your biggest fan.
your words echo tween canyons in my mind
it is you i seek and soon will find.
your eyes, smile and touch I seek
for these, any mountain,, I will peak.
now colors are richer, notes are sweeter
once skeptical, now a believer.
ive found the truth, in a hidden nook
it is you, hidden deep, within your look.
someday you will read this poem. I wrote
days after we met again on the boat.
you will someday see this is really true
family, friends, me and you.
