It's the middle of the day, In 80 degree weather, Just you and me, With our gloves of leather,
Our favorite past time, Hit the ball and run, But doing it with you, Just makes it more fun,
The sky's growing dark, Everything is cloudy, It doesn't stop our fun, We get a little more rowdy,
Rain drops from heaven, Fall on your face, I feel as though, I'm in a fairy-tale place,
Our jeans are muddy, Our hands linked to one, Today I pray, It's the last of the sun,
We're soaked to the bone, But I like it that way, Together we're free, No one is in our way,
I realize I love you, But that's not too new, As my fantasy fades, The sky turns back to blue.
