A Warm Kind Of Cold

Contributed by silentxxthunder on Monday, 8th August 2005 @ 04:21:48 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

the annual time for us to get together,
we would get to spend the day in various weather,
i remember that one year,
we were so close in the cold,
just a simple excuse to hold me,
the story of us never really ever been told.
the night that we went outside for a little fresh air,
u said that i smelt good when you were close to my hair.
i didnt feel the awkwardness when we did not speak,
just the fact that i was close to u made me feel so weak.
the moment that u asked me for a kiss,
then u remembered i was seeing somebody,
for four years i thought this moment would be bliss.
it was so cold,
but i didnt know until held me no longer,
it was strange when i let u go,
my want for you grew stronger.
i couldnt believe u felt the same way,
the thought making my mind go astray.
the feeling that nothing else could top,
so cold but warm, making my heart stop.
so little time, that it made it seem long,
never a moment like this again,
though i hope im wrong.

Your poem is filled with raw emotion - a very emotionally charged write and many people will be able to relate to you! Good job! Thanks for sharing!
