A moment in time there was just us
A glimpse into the future a second glance
A love that could have lasted it was just us
An echo of a time that could have been a final dance

A whisper of a day that could have happened it was just us
The happiness of a lover's laughter would just sing
A feeling of being whole for just a second it was just us
The thought of not worrying just that feeling of being

A realization that it wasnt ever gonna be just us
A heartfelt emotion that would forever remain
A dawning of the awakening to it isnt just us
A single tear for what would not ever begin or stay the same
