Missing You

Contributed by Lace1024 on Thursday, 11th August 2005 @ 10:17:49 PM in AEST
Topic: Tributes

It seems like forever since I've seen your loving face.
It seems like forever since I've heard you say, "I love you, Lace."

My life is changing by the minute like imprints in the sand.
I just wish that you could be here to lend a helping hand.

My life would be less stressful if only you were here.
Just to feel a simple touch to let me know you're near.

I know you'll always be there for me, but it doesn't change how I feel.
To know I'll never again hear your voice or see your face seems so unreal.

You're probably thinking, "Please don't cry it saddens me to see your tears."
Well, Dad, I'm thinking, "It saddens me to know I've lost you for years."

You'll never see me with braces, or meet my very first date.
You won't see me with my prom dress, or see me graduate.

When I meet the man of my dreams, you won't walk me down the aisle when I get married.
When I decide to make a family, you won't get to hold the first baby I carried.

My heart does not contain the love only a father can give.
I wish that you could be here to teach me how to live.

I am so sorry for your loss. Please believe he will see all those things. They may have to leave us physically, but they never leave us spiritually. He is with you, always.

Rita
