Stopping Short

As the blade slides across my arm
A tear falls from my eye
A drop of blood hits the floor
As I begin to cry
Each cut is draining a memory
Of the past I leave behind
Each tear is wishing a thought
Of the future I must find
The thoughts however
Are growing grim
The memories are slowly
Making the room spin
I fall of the floor
Shaking with every breath
Alone and scared
But praying NOT for death
I release the blade from grasp
And try to stand up tall
But youre not there to catch me
As again I start to fall
I catch myself on the counter
Crying for my mistakes
Slamming my hand into the mirror
And staring as it breaks
I fear the reflection staring back
Its caused so much pain
Im not hurting because of you
And theres nothing left to gain
I only cry these tears
Because I hurt you
I only make these scars
Because of what I put you through
This wasnt your fault
You tried so hard to make it right
You wanted me to love you
But I gave up that fight
Be strong for yourself
And if its meant to be
Then I will be okay
And this wont be the last thing I see
I will always love you
So if this is the end
I want you to know
That you will always be my best friend

hey,
this is beautiful,and it expresses the depths of your love,and yet the pain too.It caught my heart here,and don't loose faith,a love like this can always last,trust me.So plz dont give up,i was stupid once to let him go and i find myself now struggling too =(.well,t/c my man.peace.

| its amazing how you can say that then... you'll always be my best friend... yea kierstin... that one lasted long... i wanted you to be my best friend but u didnt know how because u knew and still know that in ur heart you love me... and u cant and wont accept that so therefore you just want to give up everything because you dont want to really accept what your feeling... but thats okay... u have your bestest jackee and colin the person you "love"... so yea... i dont know whats going to happen with whatever is left with us... but its no longer in my hands what happens... its all up to you |
