Society's Game

Silent, these faceless souls Eyes of children cry with dry eyes Society's monster calls for nameless blood Hungry eyes burn through the masks of momentary disguise
Here now is your sacrifice One named, come forward the beneficial lamb Ignorance's creation does the ceremonial dance Sympathetic, I was... Alone, I am
They watch him bleed away his dreams Cried him black tears from those empty eyes No one noticed... innnocence died alone yesterday I'm fading into this game I now despise
The screams vanish slowly into memory Gone the soul of their sacrifice Hollowed into conformity by society's game I somehow became the silent witness to this public device
They walk away, steps conformed to one beat No one can be different because 'we're all the same'? My tears the only survivor of yesterday's reality Never again will I play this game.

Sorry, I understand the point of the poem but I don't understand why you used 'beneficial' instead of sacrificial. Just doesn't make sense to me but the meaning in the poem does.
Smiles,
