Where there is water, there also is my love; across an empty ocean mounting fingers in the sun, across the drifting desert sands, started buried thorn and blade, started the first hearts shade, there also is my love.
In every strangled shadow, star, and tear, my love will follow near, nearer still to every breath that rolling thunders shudder fear, entomb, benign praise, and look unto muddy waters clear; my love and shadow casts into such hearts, that in their stead, place upon themselves the kiss, and sheer from joy to suffering, to cast upon themselves what love itself cannot adjure; to loosen from themselves a succulent desire, and pass into surrender.
