No more

Contributed by LiL_Rebel on Tuesday, 16th August 2005 @ 04:00:54 AM in AEST
Topic: goodbyepoetry

No more hot summer nights, there all gone
No more sleeping through the days to help them along
No more writing poetry and trying to make it rhyme
No more using it as an excuse to pass the time
No more sneaking out and coming home at dawn
No more mapping out my days with markers and crayon
No more fooling around with a guy I hardly know
No more crying and wishing I was dead into my pillow
No more being a menace to society then getting caught by the cops
No more skateboarding and eating the blacktops
No more being a kid and being innocent
No more reminding myself how much I miss it
No more cutting class and messing with the staff
No more cheering on fights for a laugh
No more depending on my parents thick wallet
No more being a punk and having a spikey haircut
No more believing in anarchy and trying to question the government
No more not giving a ***** about other peoples judgment
No more feeling bad for myself and abusing my body
No more preaching to you on a bit of my life story
No more words, no more lines, this is where it ends
No more being able to fall behind and start over again
Not Anymore

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
