As the time flies
I have these rhymes that go round in my mind
yet i am confused
more confused
like no other
with all these rhymes inside my mind
and all the time in the world
theres no topic
so why bother
i could write a political poem
saying how the regime is lame
and the war is pointless
almost as pointless as the poem itself
it wouldn't accomplish a thing
but rather collect dust on the shelf
i could write a redundant conformity poem
saying how you do as i do
or
another sappy love poem saying how much i...care for you
i could write another "deep" poem
that captures all my feelings inside
to show my friends and family
the workings of my mind
or another pointless poem
that waste the readers time
i could write one of those suicide poems
saying how you wouldn't care if i died
or write a poem telling you my ancestors were slaves
and had there freedom denied
all but a waste of time
see
these poems lack creativity
sure the poems are different
but the ideas remain the same
i wonna write my own poem
and give myself a name
until i can think of a poem
with such originality
i'm gonna sit at my desk
with pen in hand
and simply write
poetry

| this is original. its not the point that they are all the same. it's about writing and just getting your emotons out that rhyme . Just like you did. There might be somebody out there that think the same way you do and it just helps to know that you are not alone. Good write |
