Cupid Is A Sniper

Contributed by sir_odd87 on Wednesday, 17th August 2005 @ 12:05:45 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

His diaper could be camoflauge,
His bow could be a gun.
And his scope is always set upon,
Those who are on the run.

He wouldn't shoot at you for years,
If you had a target on your chest.
But he will always shoot the one
Who wears a bullet-proof vest.

He shot me while I was on a bus,
Sitting with my neighbor girl's weird friend
I've been dating her for two years now,
And this relationship will not end.

I wasn't looking for a girl,
To hold me close, or to reciprocate
But when that arrow hit me on the bus,
I'd found myself a mate.

Cupid shot me from behind,
From a place I could not see.
But of all the guys he could have shot,
I'm so glad that he shot me.

^^ I'm so glad he shot you too..."neighbor's weird friend?" You seem fond of that description of me...it's funny.

Nicely written, but you could almost rearange the stanzas to make it a little more story like, should you wish it...

I liked it bunches and gobs

Cupid is a cunning little fellow at times, for sure. Weird friend? That is so funny! She must be weird because she allows you to call her that and still loves you. lol. Blessings to you both.
