Final Look towards the unlit sky

I lay there on the ol' floor Hoping to hear my scream once more I press my ear against the cold But alas, I have been told By the empty echo of a heart That shall no longer beat in the dark Alone and cold i am once more As my blood seeps into these hardwood floors
The whisper lies in the shadows As the laughter turns to stone The sun shall no longer shine The moon no longer leaves it's reflection; A silver line
Shining through the windows Leaving a shadow upon the pane Always shedding its iridescent light Through the pounding rain
So as my body bathes In cloaks of black and blue A single tear falls from my eyes As i take my final look Towards the unlit skies

That is very sad, it happens a lot, but at the same time your poem is beautiful. x |
