Promise of the Death

Promise of the Death

Would you like to know a secret?
One that people have forgotten,
An enigma old as world,
Which nobody seems remebeber.

I’ll tell it in private
When no others are around;
Only I and You and the secret
That will bring us all together.

Day or night, I will be waiting
For patience’s my only virtue;
You, enjoy your life in plenty –
Leave the secret for the ending.

Alexei Ogorodov, 2005

this one is brilliant, i think that the way it is written is superb, i love the twisted happiness ppl are given when being tempted with a secret, that is captured brillaintly in this one.

and the line "For patience’s my only virtue" is my favorite, it conveys so much mystery and darkness by implying so many things in the readers minds. that wonderfull question of "what are we waiting for"

excellent write. ryan
