Loving beast
seen though window
peering inside at fate
longing for what is forever lost
no keys to open this locked heart
but still he dreams on
a drumming echo
this pulse is so deep
each sound a reminder
Standing tall without his pride
endlessly walking to nothing at all
so lost, so broken
A kingdom of tears
each another symbol
of emptiness within soul
This new world of alone
so unfamiliar so harsh
facing it with desperation
A challenge of mind to forget
so hard to let go
this heart still has scars
the clock still ticking away
as world moves in direction
a realization in this
time heals all wounds
