And so my friend
here's to the end
with hopes it's years to come
Through all the miles
and youthful wiles
My race is finally run
And though we've long been parted
and gone our separate ways
the friendship that we started
now fills my lonely days
The years have slowly faded
the memories of my past
Some say they're over rated
but I wish that they could last

| This poem reminds me of a friend I had lost to Mono. I miss her so much. She was my childhood friend. I hope she is in heaven smiling down. She was young when she passed away. She was not much younger than I. Thanx for the poem and bringing back memories. *S* Cynthia |
