The steps we now have taken
Our journey once begun
A fight that's to the finish
and one that must be won
Our hearts we freely pledge
to freedom we pay our due
to look upon tomorrow
and see that we stand true
To hear the call to arms
A need that must be met
The deaths of those before us
least we not forget
As our eyes are filled by wonder
at the coming of the day
that faith in truth and justice
will lead us on our way
