A Hug, A Kiss
Hugs and kisses
from the grandchildren that I love
Being so far away
this is something, I am deprived of
I constantly dream
of holding them in my arms
When we are all together
I am mesmerized by their charms
A handsome young man
and a beautiful young girl
A diamond in the ruff
and a magnificent pearl
Oh, how I love them
words cannot say
It drives me crazy
that they, are so far away
It won't be long now
before I see them again
Until that day
fond memories remain

Great poem. I miss my family too (no grandchildren yet, I'm too young) It is always encouraging when I read a poem like this.
Send them a card it will be good news to them because they probably miss you too.

Bruce, I know exactly how you feel. Two of my four grandsons I only get to see once a year. We stay in contact thru phones and email but it is not the same as being able to touch and hug them. The other two I see almost ever other weekend. Grandchildren are such a gift from God. I am so blessed.

Very sweet. i hope to do that exact thing, one day. I just have to find the guy....then have the kids..and then have the grand kids.! LOL.......WEll written, and a nice read.
