Angel In Distress

Youre an angel in distress
Struggling through another test
Holding your wings against your side
Allowing their natural beauty to hide
Your spirit is broken in two
Your skies have lost their blue
Youre devoured in the pain
Your clouds are full of rain
You question what you believe
All you do is grieve
Grounded are your wings
Your heart no longer sings
But angels werent meant to cry
Theyre suppose to live on high
And be sheltered from the things
That pulls on the heart strings

great write! i love the imagery, especially the "your skies have lost their blue"
this brought up a lot of emotions for me, which is my favourite part of poetry. keep up the good work. |
