Behind that color I've grown fond of I saw new feelings yesterday And mixed in with bluish green Was a rocky shade of grey A stony cold refusal Telling me to hope no more It dropped my stomach quite outside me Eight feet back and on the floor It has left my dreams so empty Filled me up with hollow fear Stuck between the space that you now need And the way I need you near But for that stony grey confusuion Your two eyes still look the same It's deceiving 'cause you're different And causing me to feel such pain And I could be wrong on this But I thought I glimpsed it there A blank and frigid white To match the fear that I, too, wear

Great poem. You have a flare for words and a story telling ability that captures the imagination. |

I am so sorry sweetheart, that you are having this pain. It is hard and there will be tears and doubts and fears, but life will go on. Maybe it is fixable, maybe not. Just know that eventually the pain will lessen and you will be able to smile again and love again. Feel the pain and when you can let it go. All you can do then is start taking one step at a time, one in front of the other till you find you are where you need to be. You wrote this beautifully, albeit sad. Hugs, Rita |

GREY!!! WHITE!!!! Geez...for crying out loud, we need some blue in this world!!! The clouds will fade and blue skies will come again. Keep your head up.

(*sigh* I'm here thinking that I just don't spend enough time on your page...... I think, this time, emy beckoned me here, perhaps. *wink*)
You had my attention from the first line of this piece. A "rocky shade of grey" swept me away (it is precisely that isn't it? not just... not just any grey... but that 'rocky' shade... *sigh*).
I speak in colors sometimes myself. And this... this... leaves me aching. It's beautifully done... I echo every fabulous thing Jarred said!
