The Letter You'll Never Get

Contributed by weepingprophet on Monday, 29th August 2005 @ 03:17:22 AM in AEST
Topic: abstract

sometimes i wonder.
Why we sleep to be awakened and why we are awakened only to return to sleep.
And in between what we find and deem necessity there is a lacking.
Aren''t we all searching for something, something to fill the void left by time not sleeping and time wakened but only too dull?
I just wish sometimes that i could understand what i know and surrender to the facts, that i will never understand.
But impossibilty drives me and taunts me.
You know there must be some way to figure it out and if not then my sanity will escape me.
You know how you have dreams of food and when you wake up you''re full and you can taste what you were "eating" in your dream?
My life is like that.
I''m constantly eating a desire of knowledge and filling myself with answers in my dreams, and maybe it''s my restlessness that never allows me to wake up full.
But i can taste what everyone else deems "crazy" i can feel and smell that "insanity" as though it were filling me and somehow passifying this unsurpassed need to understand.
I wish someday that i will wake up full and unwanting that i can satisfy myself, until then i''ll keep dreaming and if i''m "crazy" or if i''m "sane" what difference will it make?
In the end we are what we believe is truth and we are held by that, bound by it.

We are candles lit and put out by our own desire.

So i''ll follow my curiosity and feed my hunger until i starve or become satiated.
Hope can only promise me that there are answers and reality can only swear that there are unending questions.
We are what we belive is truth and what is truth but the evidence of life, and what is the evidence of life without the proof of death?
Let''s draw a line of immortality and promise that hope will overcome reality, that in the end there are answers and satisfaction.
We are what we believe is truth.

What is truth?????

Well I won't comment on your format, since there uhhh...isn't one :O
However, this is an honest, raw, soul-searching write, and those are usually the best kind...Mind spillage. I have no answers for you,
but I do hope you find them, and I hope your fears are quieted...sooner, rather than later...Good expression here Miss KayT : )
Scorp.

What is truth?...

Quid est veritas?...

...est vir qui adest...
