With preety blonde hair
She walked through the door
everyone stoped to stair
no one knowing she was poor
she walked to the jewlrey to casually look
when a man asked "why even bother"
and walked away as his head shook
no way of knowing that man was her father
she was adopted at a young age
her parents where a one night stand
she grew up felling alone, captivated with rage
in a famley with abuse she was delt a bad hand
as she walked to the clothing ile
she saw a blonde woman looking at a dress
the woman wore a frown covered by a smile
you couldn't tell the womans life was a mess
as they talked they saw there own reflection
they shook hands and walked away
a hand shake covering up all affection
no way of knowing that woman was her mother to this day
as she exeted the store she was hit by a car
a lonley teenage boy got out with a shudder
he was on his way to the bar
know she has no way of knowing he was her brother
as she lay dead on the concret
the man walked to his car
the blonde woman crossed the street
the unknown famley where all so close but so very far

isn't it ironic

I'm not adopted either but this touched me so deeply.....they took my sister away from my mother when she was young .....i tried to find her once...but wasn't sure i was doing the right thing....and thought well some things are better left alone....but im not so sure if maybe they are......this gives me alot to think about.....thank you chantel......

A very good piece, full of emotion and well told. I only mention this because I had to stop a couple of times while reading it, There seems to be some misspelling, correcting these would make it a lot easier to read
