Why Try?

Contributed by Allofyourtears on Friday, 2nd September 2005 @ 02:28:03 PM in AEST
Topic: toughstuff

Those tense moments seem so long ago
Seconds
Turn to
Minutes
Then
Hours...
Eternity

Im sorry that Im the only one left
Standing with you at the end of the world
Clinging to a rose that seems to wither against my fingers
On to hope that seems too old

Why am I trying? With you, am I dying?
With you, without you
Life is lost, but is my love?
Broken wings are broken souls
They are just broken

I have nothing to offer, just my regret
Solitude, would you want it?
Thrown away like all of the others
A child that no longer wants to play with dolls

Why am I trying? My heart is still lying
Love you, hate you
I can do neither, so where must I go?
No one seems to know
No one seems to know

Give me nothing
And Ill give you everything
My spirits spirit, my lifes life
What more can I provide? What more do you need?

Why are we trying? The three of us...we were flying
Then we got caught in a storm with no escape
End it, prolong it
We will continue to live
