We sometimes think this is the way things are
The stars we reach for are way too far
Take a moment pretend wishes are granted
Reach for the stars feel enchanted
Make way for the new let go of the old
Say goodbye to negative thoughts controlled
Notice the changes happening in your life
Stay centered release the grief and strife
A new day is dawning the worst is now behind
Break free from the past feel peace of mind
Dont hang on to anything that weighs you down
Resentment and bitterness will make you drown
Have you settled for less than you dream or desire
You deserve so much more set your sights higher
Reach for the stars lift the weight from your soul
Yesterday is but a dream be at peace feel whole

You have a knack for writing poems that inspire me to be and see more than I am or do.
You also have a heart of gold.
Angel, I remember when I first came onto this site and how your comments and your poetry---always seemed to be uplifting and wherever it was I had been---you had overcome.
