but I wish you knew
how much I felt for you
I know you love me
but you ripped
out my heart
and stamped it into the ground
you took my soul
and threw it around
I don't know if things can be the same
and neither of us
should take the blame
but you hurt me
and I know I hurt you

I want to be alone
but I want you to surround me
I want silence
but I'd die to hear your voice
I want to be myself again
I need my independence
I felt you held me so tight
so near
and I liked it
but I can't
