ek is wie ek is, hou op jou gedra soos n vis en besef
I aint gonna change for nobody,
Aint gonna turn around to make anybody proud
Ima say it out loud.
Just let me be me in the way it pleases me om rede
ek maker nie jou seen, ek staan op sterke been.
Jy verwag ek gaan sit en treer, ekt gedink jyt
geleer.
Ek het jou nie nodig nie, jys dan n las.
Is dit swaar om dit te hoor, sorry om jou bubble te bars.
You expect me to follow in you example,
but have you taken a look at yourself
lately?
You keep up this holy faade while behind you just downright shady.
You contradict yourself
with what you say. Jy dink jys slim,
dink weer as jy dink jy kan my kul.
I refuse to believe the lie
You perceive to be truth, believing the
deception that rots away the roots of individuality.
You expect me to reflect your monotony,
if I do, it will lead to insanity.

| Great poem. From this poem I can sense that your mom is trying to force you to go to church. I have been through that. I am just guessing. I also guess from you poem that . . . somethings are better left unsaid. |
