Unborn

Contributed by ruthie1983 on Tuesday, 6th September 2005 @ 01:58:30 AM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

The unspoken words,
Life is within your body
Help yourself,
Its already too late...
That breath is already taken
How come you let that life leave you?
Its unfair for both of you,
How come you didnt protect that life?
How come you didnt fight for that life?
Why did you have to let that life go?
How come you are not crying?
I hate that fact about you,
That life didnt ask to be brought to you,
Pay back time you let that fetus die,
You created the situation on your own,
You ended its life without its permission,
Do you wonder the LOVE you lost?
Do you wonder what it could have been?
I bet you will NEVER find out now.

woah this is deep...and is also a touchy subject.

I enjoyed this poem though, apt issues were raised and you have every right to feel the way you do...I believe it's wrong also.

Well done for having the courage to express your views!

Cheers for sharing, excellent effort!

I think it takes courage to write a poem about a controversial issue like abortion. I agree with you. Great poem.

A rare poem to tackle such a taboo subject. You are indeed brave to vent your feelings in prose, and successful in presenting your views and making the reader validate them. Very confronting and somewhat disturbing write, an awesome job nonetheless.. look forward to reading more from you
