Anguished Breath

Contributed by anitajames on Thursday, 8th September 2005 @ 04:33:22 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Everywhere around me is what I can't have.
I'm surrounded by shadows that scream its too bad.
Shadows that drown and disguise the light
Light that hides in the darkness and evades my sight.
Wanting controls my hope and my life.

I'm reaching out and trying to touch
what I once had and loved so much.
I once lived and loved the lives held inside
Now I'm ruled by anger, anxiety, and pride.
I can't sleep, can't think, can't breathe, can't try.

And I can't get the answers I want when I cry.
I'm begging you now, please tell me why?

I feel the anguish in this. I'm afraid I don't know quite how one lets go of all this - epiphanies come when they will. But... if we long for the Light, it will come to us, I do believe. When the time is right.

May the road rise up.

Another bad day.... Yeah, life sucks at times, it's hard to cope, but the alternative doesn't sound half as good, half the time. The one thing that always reasures me is that I don't know it all. If I get thrown to the ground playing football, I get up stronger each time. It doesn't show the first time, or the second, but you notice that the falls hurt more. And you still get up.
Take care. And always get up.
David
