I race through the night With fire they flame The hate in my eyes As my mind lives in pain
Hate in my soul As my heart fades away Ice on my breath As my mind fills with pain
I question my heart As I question my soul And this murderous rage That has taken control
I feel the reapers thoughts And I feel the reapers grief Intoxicating intuition of a killers deceit
Legends of death Like a thief in the night A force that completes me Like the legends of life
Melancholy thoughts In a heart filled with rage The warm sent of blood As my life my death claims
This legend of murder Now a myth in my site I welcome my death For it gives me new life
In eternity find peace that wont die ~Steve~

Certainly those thoughts have troubled every soldier over there. I hope and pray that when each of you come home that the feelings you had can be sorted through and discarded and you can fit back into your life without those thoughts being harboured in your mind. God bless you each and every one. Steve, stay strong and know that many of us do think of you everyday and appreciate the ungodly tasks of your service to your country.
Hugs,
Rita |

Steve, this was so.... *ponders for a minute* poetically sad and the emotive content is just outstanding.
I just don't know what to say in this poem. It just makes me sad that our soldiers out there are dying for a war that we would never finish.
Good to see you back.
Hugs,
Jane~ |
