Lifepoems

The world falls down Around a captured moment And I exist within it With freeze frame clarity, In perfect awe Of the image emblazoned There, on the inside Of my closed eyelids.
Not one moment, But countless many now - Caught in sepia hues Or pulsating true color, Some even in black and white, They prod relentlessly From inside out Redefining reality.
And I give each, In turn, a moments glory Holding it too tightly In the palm of a trembling hand Imagining not just that But, also the then and the if That scream out From somewhere inside.
Oh! there is movement In the shadows That lay just outside the frame Slow, comforting, quiet Undeniable movement, Tracking though my minds eye Like a whisper Crossing a room.
I can hear them And can feel the insistent pulse Of a heartbeat, aching To be released just then As I open my eyes to find There's a bit of blue Left in the black and white And, perhaps... rightfully so.

I like the poem, but... I really like the author's note! I feel like that all the time. I want to write something, but then the words come in the order that they want, forming their own poem. Sometimes it's better to watch a poem writing itself then to write one. Um... sorry. Seriously, I liked the poem too.
Take care, sorry for then 'late night' comment.

Brilliant stanza SNM! Speaking to the eternal hope that survives in each of us- no matter what our circumstances. A needed refrain for our world today. High marks and best regards.

That vivid imagery was just beautifully captured Snemmy.
I can hear them
And can feel the insistent pulse
Of a heartbeat, aching
To be released just then
As I open my eyes to find
There's a bit of blue
Left in the black and white
And, perhaps... rightfully so
*Sighs* I'm just way too impressed with this to rant about it. I could but I wouldn't.

This speaks to the promise of hope and good things to come. That is what I see anyway. That is what is so wonderful about great poetry. Everyone sees something that speaks to them in a different way. Great write! |

......................Stunned Silence..................
Well, my dear, unfortunately, that is all I can utter with my trembling fingers and malfunctioned brain.... You have left me.... speechless... And I do hope my words will come soon so I can properly praise this... poetic masterpiece. I thank you... for always creating something that pulls at my heart, and inspires me. All my love. Forever,
Your little flower,

There's no stopping them when they want out, is there? I seem to be plagued by that variety of work lately, so I really appreciated this one. It was an amazing read, so thank you!
Be Well,

I just love the way you seem to so effortlessly watch those words fall onto the page and arrange themselves. Yeah, uh-huh. Just admit it Snem, you have a brilliant talent of arranging them in such an exquisite order yourself.
*applauds*
Thank you,
Tim
