Simply Grieve

Its not everyday
I feel the need
To close my eyes
And simply grieve
But I feel compelled
To say a prayer
For the lost
And despaired
Those hows lives
Have been completely changed
Whose dreams
Have been rearranged
Its heartbreaking
To sit and stare
At the devastation
That happen there
Compassion
Stirs in my heart
Heartache
Rips it apart
Tears
Form in my eyes
As the whole nation
Collectively cries
