living shadow

Contributed by wazarov on Thursday, 15th September 2005 @ 05:02:01 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

Undeniable desire to bleed
fulfilled painfully with love.
I drink the life touched by the divine
and taste the human wine..

Uncontrollable fire burning wild,
centuries pumping rust in the veins
my need to feed like a need to plant
your seed..

My compromised reality devouring
every hope to rest forever
reminding me of this eternity I didnt chose.
So beautiful is the night in which I rise
just to walk among the living gods..

The virgin blood comforting my haunted soul
and my fears strengthen my body..

I pretend to die just to watch the mortals cry
and when I rise I ask:
where is your god whom I want to fight..

I have failed to die, failed to cry..
so behold me coming for your blood

I usually don't like hungering for blood poems, but I really enjoyed this one.

Interesting, and somehow seductive as well. Reminds me of a vampire fantasy....
