I do not like the way you make me feel
So powerless and confused
I am holding on to nothing
and it is all because of you
You entered into my life
and left your footprint on my heart
You crushed it and took it
and left me with nothing
Your silences worry me
They cut me like a knife
The more I try to reach you
The faster you run
And once again you hide...
And I truly wonder what it is
that you try to cover up with that faint smile
I can't read it in your eyes
since they never cross mine...
You can drown in your self-created misery
Just like I do
I reach out to you but you step back
It doesn't really matter anymore
Because eventually you'll fall
