as death draws near
it comes very clear
i have done what i have to do
but not yet knowing the few
that i have helped in my time
but from here i''m losing my mind
i have helped people through out my days
ther where places that i wanted to stay
when i was young i was free
and i just wanted to be me
as i got older the people changed
so i tryed to stay out of range
from here to there
things changed everywhere
from good to bad
from happy to sad
my life has gone down the drain
along with the rain
that has poured down my face
as i run the race of life.
