For many years
You blinded me,
Binded me to you
My soul burned for you
My heart bled for you
And I cried for you
Many times did I break
Many tears did I cry
And many years did my ears longed for 'yes'
But 'no' was all I got
And now that I look back
I realize what I didn't gain
And all that I lost
In the fire of my heart
And all those eight years
Crinkled up in the flames
Now I love anew
And my passion re-kindled
As I look back at you
It's as if water was poured on the burning love for you
Now I realize that you were right
I was just blowing smoke
