Now information Arracho did glean about the lady Margarita May. Such information Arracho thought mean, for Segundo's depressing news killed day.
" I'm afraid there's only my youngest daughter with us now, captain. Our other children are grown, living their own lives. Sandervol, my only son, is a lawyer, overseeing Hernandez business interests in Mexico City. Alicia is in Spain with her husband, and Felicia lives in Santa Barbara with her husband, aide to Jose Antonio de la Guerre of the presidio." "Have you grandchildren, sir?" "Three by Sandervol, two by Alicia, and four by Felicia - nine in all." " You're a lucky man, sir. May I congratulate you on having such a wonderful family." "Thank you, captain. In time I'm sure you'll be blessed too." Don Hernandez snapped reins; animals moved out. Huerra and Segundo followed at a distance on their horses. By the time they reached Casa de Hernandez, Huerra knew from Segundo about Margarita's carriage conversation with her mother and that she still loved the unknown gringo.
