Lying here On the cold, damp floor Alone in the dark Waiting for a hero To come and help me up Back onto my feet A bit of cash To buy a bite to eat And a nice warm drink Maybe one day I can be re-united With my mum and sister Without that guy Vince There to kick me out Of my own warm house The nights I have wished To be in my bed Instead of the shop door-way But I know it will never happen. Ive been mugged Of the watch my mum gave me Ive lost all the money I had What I would give To see my mum and Carole again Ginger is missing Gail is sleeping soundlessly next to me The abuse, the beating All down to alcohol and Vince Mums too scared to call the police So she just let it happen Ive closed my eyes And wished I was home But every time I opened them again Mt heart fell when I was still in London -Link-
Maybe this poem has helped you see There ARE homeless kids out there Waiting for your help Waiting for your aid Please think about how lucky you Actually are And how much they need your help Thank-you
