To my girl who stood by me
A word to you my love my steel
Who am i anymore no sky to find
Every day i just fall behind
Yet in you come and make me real
And yet i walk away like no big deal
I want to say in my life
I never met a pure blue
Who made the sun an autumn true
I thank you my love you gave me more than life
You stood by me in all my minds strife
I know time draws a shorter picture
You feel lost in all this whisper
You mean more to me than any word can tell
And yet a far I close the gap
I pause a moment to take a cig
And reflect now and tilt my hat
One more sip the devils licker
The only thing that makes me shiver
I stand now in total respect
My love for you is now complete
I hope you know this
As my life is to remember
It was was only you
