How many times did I imagine
your lips, tickles of your five-o'clock fur
caressing my face?

How many times did I picture
that arm you have around her
around me?

How many times did I hope
for you to call me up sometime
in the back of my mind?

How many times did I dream
that you realised my love is just as sublime
in the darkness that I am left in?
