It's been three years now
The rain hums your voice
I continue on strong as can be
I really have no choice
The flowers in the spring
Smell like your colonge
And the dog, like me
Waits for you to come home
I dont put up the tree
Or cook a big meal
This has to be a dream
It just can't be real
Your coat still lays on the basement closet floor
Along with the next to last tie you wore
Your razor's int the cabinent, it will never move
I never even washed the last dry towel you used
God it hurts, maybe it always will
I love you then, and love you now
Still
Today is the hardest, our anniversary
Can't believe you're not here to celebrate with me
I kneel beside a rock with your name
I'm leaving you flowers, it's just not the same
Loving father, devoted husband, here he lies
I have so much to say through these teary eyes
I embrace the toombstone, it's ever so cold
Still nursing a wound to the day three years old
The sunshines down, it's my only comfort
No matter how mcuh time loosing you still hurts
Why can't you be here with me today
To hear your voice and your dreams...what can I say
I miss you every night
Every day
Always
In ALL ways
Still

I think your wounds will in time,but you will never stop missing nor loving him..Time just let you learn to cope with it...You're have times you cry time you're remember things and smile..Prayer will help..I've been thru the same thing,was left with a 4month old baby and a 2 year old toddler..So try to be strong..God will see you thru...
I still cry,smile...But love him and miss him..
Over 20 years ago....
