On A Quest For Love...

Contributed by eternal_dreamer on Wednesday, 28th September 2005 @ 06:55:15 PM in AEST
Topic: DreamsandWishes

Gazing at the cascading stars
Each and every night
Eyes lock upon the moon
At its tranquil luminous light

Slowly her heart sets adrift
Far beyond its shores
Searching far and wide
On an endless journey once more

It searches for awhile
Yet it simply cannot find
The dock for her heart to berth in
As the lashing waves are so unkind

It craves the ultimate feeling
That has for long been lost
Her heart beacons for love
The thing it desires the most

Take heed for she is cautious
For her heart has been burnt before
Leaving her with a blackened scar
Burning deep within her core

But she holds on to hope
To find a keeper for her heart
Someone who'll love it deeply and
Break down its reigning rampart

So each and every night
As the stars cascade way up high
She begins on her heart's journey
To find her ultimate loving guy...

Awww, bless you, Sue.

I hope Scorpy loves this as much as I do, it's fabulous.

It made me smile, for it is everything I would wish to say to her, too.

We love you Scorpy!

And we love you too, Sue.

Great write, my friend.
*hugs*

This is good;

"In a restless world we live in
where love's ended before it's begun
and too many moonlight kisses
seem to fade with the warmth of the sun"

From "When i fall in love" by Nat "King" Cole

Your poem reminds me greatly of the song i quoted above. Great write.

Awww OMG Sue!!!! You are the sweetest, most pure of heart person I've met. I can't even tell you how fully honoured I am that I could in anyway inspire such a lovely write! This is truly special, as are you, my friend. This brought tears to my eyes, and I wish all the same and more for you.
Thank you so much Sue!!

My heart breaks with every word.
Wonderful metaphors, as I love the sea..

Sue this is a fantastic write:

Yes, Scorp is a beautiful person, someone will be ever so greatful to have her, it will be one of the deepest loves ever.

Your write here shows the love and care for a friend, no secrets locked up, it moves my heart, straightens out what love is like in reality from someone who gives that special care, your write is a spiritual awakening to our eyes as we read.

I know in my heart, someone out there is waiting for Scorp, just as much as she is waiting for that one beautiful deep loving man.

Thank you ever so much for this write, I appreciate your deep caring, and love.

Raquel Leah

A sweet and gentle take on the search for true love. I particularly enjoyed the nautical images. Good luck on this quest to us all.
