I trusted Id see you everyday
Never thought of it much till you went away
I know its not forever but it sure feels that way
Why did you leave when you promised youd stay?
Now I listen intently for your familiar tread
And every strange face is a face that I dread
All I see is your smile as I lie late in bed
You would hear my pleas if youd just turn your head
I cant live without you; its hard just to try
My eyes have cried so much that I doubt that theyll dry
I know its a better alternate then for you to die
But all I ever asked was for you to say goodbye.

May your friend return. It hurts to be away from friends. My life has almost always been constant moving, and I know how it feels.
