Once upon a time
Not so very long ago
A golden bird of paradise
Illuminated a world.
Her wings spread wide
She glided through
The dusty lands of this world
Bringing light to dark corners.
Where ever she soared
So did the spirits of the inhabitants
Her plumage a wonder to behold
Their hearts gladdened by her.

I remember the night we met
A year ago today.
There was something special about you
I could sense that straight away.
We clicked at once I like to think,
You made me laugh and feel at ease.
By the end of the evening I was sure
There was only ever you I want to please.
I love the sight and sound of you
They warm the very depths of my soul
You are the completing of my jigsaw puzzle
To do my best for you will always be my goal.
My love for you already strong
Grows stronger every passing day
My heart is yours, I aspire to you
To be loving caring understanding in every way.
I've been privileged to know you one year now
You are the woman of my dreams made real
My angel I love you for eternity
Loved is how I always want to make you feel.
I look forward to much more time with you
To making you laugh and treating u well
To sharing our lives and holding you close
I will always be under your loving spell.
Our hearts together our love increases
With you is where I always wish to be
I have spent a wonderful year knowing you,
