I gave up long ago
on you, your pretty face
your charm that lit me up
made me fly
But I let you go
While you never held on
So I fell
I fall
I will fall
Every tense, ever tense
You never knew you dropped me
I never let you know
what you were holding
my heart
my emotions, every fine thread
weaving them around
trying to figure you out
figure me out
everyday something new
And so you say "In three years"
I hope you'll be waiting
at the bottom
