|
kaleidoscope sensations filter down my spine
A pool of water diluted by reality
Ignore the reflection
Lies come to the surface as truth is found deeper still
Do we question why the hair stands on end
Staring into emptiness we find that glimmer
That hint of something
The nameless, the faded, the forgotten
Eclectic singularity
Emblazoned cold pushing through my mind
What is it that ties us to this world
The consciousness we claim as real
Could we be memories, closed eye hallucinations
Distant thoughts given hollow shells
Or do we desperately pray
Hopelessly cling
To convictions of a greater reality
Lesser creations of finer plans
I will confide
In thoughts I do hide
Escape this dismal blur of feelings
And lies
It helps me to know that secrets still do hide
And perhaps it was a life I must be denied
