Eleven long slow-motion years,
I've been crying into half-empty beers,
drowning my doubts, flooding my fears,
everyone's gone but they're still here.
Writing poetry that no one will see,
Dreaming dreams that never will be,
Drinking to stop the thinking,
never thinking to stop the drinking.
Out the back blacking out .
backing out due to doubt,
Keeping in things that should be out,
waking up wanting to shout.
The time has come to sort it out,
To stop being a drunken lout,
Hope I am able to sort it out,
There I go again with the doubt.
Going on an alchoholiday,
Getting a ticket one way,
Going on an alchoholiday
and I'm going there to stay,
