Turn the page, another story,
strike a light for Englands glory,
feel the pleasure, forget the pain,
another day on this gravy train,
easy to fall into addiction,
easing away this life of friction,
drop a coin into the slot,
hope the metal hits the spot,
spinning wheels and flashing lights,
the publican holds all the rights,
in for a penny, in for a pound,
another day on this merry go round.

| This poem is cool. The tone is frustrated, as would happen in an addiction, and the rhymes seem to fall off the table into a black hole, definitely a pattern of addiction. Neat stuff that would have been hurt by too much wordage but doesn't make that mistake. |
