Turn the page, another story, strike a light for Englands glory, feel the pleasure, forget the pain, another day on this gravy train, easy to fall into addiction, easing away this life of friction, drop a coin into the slot, hope the metal hits the spot, spinning wheels and flashing lights, the publican holds all the rights, in for a penny, in for a pound, another day on this merry go round.

This poem is cool. The tone is frustrated, as would happen in an addiction, and the rhymes seem to fall off the table into a black hole, definitely a pattern of addiction. Neat stuff that would have been hurt by too much wordage but doesn't make that mistake. |
