Lucy down the lane

Contributed by jonteD on Friday, 14th October 2005 @ 02:49:44 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

I catch myself daydreaming of you,
Realise my hands reaching in thin air,
Outstretched for the woman I knew,
But I snatch it back as youre not there.

On bad days I wrap my arms around me,
Find the tears rolling over my cheek,
Hope nobody is around my tears to see,
For a grown man Im acting quite meek.

Dance alone, feel the cold of emptiness around,
Gone the days of heart missing beat,
Smiling faces, holding hands west end town,
Knowing that this was the best Id ever meet.

Should I tear up the pictures from that time,
Erase the memory, forget your name,
Photos gone, negatives implanted in my mind,
All because I loved you Lucy down the lane.

i liked this a lot. i have been down that road, wondering if you should try to erase a lost love from your life. either it is hard. best of luck.
