pain is the only
thing i trust
no other feeling
satisfies my lust
it's the only thing
that makes me feel alive
as deeper into
this abyss i dive
as the blood
drips down my arm
i feel the plessure
of bodily harm;
the knowledge that
in truth I'm real
pain's the only thing
that makes me feel
as now i am
completely numb
a mere shadow's
what I've become

Feeling numb is worse that feeling pain in my opinion. And feeling physical pain is almost always easier than feeling emotional pain.
