There are days when the world doesn't seem right,
The newspapers are filled with violence and fights.
But if the trend continues to grow,
Hold your head high, and always know,
Forever and always, you and I.
There are homeless people on the streets,
Without enough food for them to eat.
But if this tragedy continues to grow.
Hold your head high, and always know,
Forever and always, you and I.
There are racial problems both home and abroad,
With police we cant trust, continue at large.
But if this injustice continues to grow,
Hold your head high, and always know,
Forever and always, you and I.
There are families falling apart before our eyes,
With children having children, no longer a surprise.
But if this sin continues to grow,
Hold your head high, and always know,
Forever and always, you and I.
Forever you and I, Well stand alone,
Up against the world that we call home.
And if this world continues to fall.
Its you and I, against it all.
