Depression

Contributed by darkscorpio on Monday, 17th October 2005 @ 09:34:10 AM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Stuck in between living and dead
Visions of failure all stuck in my head
Unsure of direction, and whats the right way
Painful reaction in words that I say
Feeling alone and unloved and in pain
Scars eating alive at the man that remains
Will I weather this storm that is set inside me
Will I be a better man for it, will the clouds part so I can see

Filled with hurt, and filled with doubt
I need to get this darkness out
Filling my mind and heart with sadness
Sinking back into depression and madness
Losing control of my heart and my soul
Watching the pain and the stress take its toll
As I wallow in pity and tears fill with rage
As I once again write this sad tale on this page

Take all this cancer that rages inside
And throw it away, and give back my pride
Try to move forward and not look back
But my heart has been damaged, and I await a new attack

This is an excellent expression of depression. It grabs you by the ass and drags you down to the depths of Hell. Sorry, got carried away. I liked the way you expressed this. Very descriptive. I look forward to more of your writes.
